Nah, I don't think Philly blows it this year.
Only problem is, where will Iguodala fit in or will he be traded on or shortly after Draft night?

Who knows... I dont know who would want to take on that contract. I just know the talk around here is, pairing Turner, with Holliday, and being set there for the next 10 years. Stefanski has mentioned Turner, a lot, but this is the Sixers we are talking about.

Turner and Holliday could be one of the best young backcourts in the league.
Maybe Iguodala would move up and play the more-natural-for-him 3 position if he isn't traded. Either way, Philly will be in a bind when it comes to acquiring a big this offseason.
They could take Favors or Cousins if they so choose, but I've heard Doug Collins is really high on Favors and, if up to him, that's who he would select on Thursday night.

And thats why hiring Doug Collins was dumb. They just got Spencer Hawes in the Dalembert deal... Stefanski seems pretty high on him.... I just think Evan Turner is a CANT MISS Pick, especially when they lucked into the #2 pick.

Oh, he most definitely is, but I don't think I would fault Philly for taking Favors.
I still don't think it happens anyway, but he's the next best option and a safer bet than Cousins.

Favors>Cousins. Cousins has too much baggage.

Wow, so Minnesota is set to send their 16th pick to Memphis for the 25th and 28th picks and, according to Chad Ford's Mock Draft, Version 6.1, New Jersey is all of a sudden interested in taking Wesley Johnson at #3 instead of the long-rumored Favors (or Cousins).
This means that Minnesota, with their highest pick being #4, is left with Favors AND Cousins still on the board even though they do not want either of them. Turner or Johnson is what they would prefer having, but it looks like Minnesota will either have to settle for one of them, draft someone else higher than is necessary, or trade up in/out of the draft entirely.
Everything seemed set in stone for the top 4 picks (Favors to NJ at #3, Johnson to MIN at #4), but New Jersey feels confident that it can acquire a Carlos Boozer or Amare Stoudemire-type big through free agency and wants Johnson to fill another need.

Golden State trades Corey Maggette and the 44th pick in the draft to Milwaukee for Dan Gadzuric and Charlie Bell. sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5316714So, the Warriors save money, roughly $15 million in the deal, and the Bucks acquire Maggette's selfishness with his 3-year, $30 million contract. Great job Dubs.

Draft is less than 4 hours away now.
I'm really only interested in the lottery picks and any trade scenarios, but I should be tuning in for the whole show.
Here's to a fantasy trade scenario where Washington sends the #1 pick (John Wall) and Arenas' contract to New Orleans for Chris Paul. I would die from happiness.

Chicago has a deal in place to unload Kirk Hinrich and the 17th pick to Washington, although it will not be official until July 8th. It isn't definite, but Sacramento could just as easily step in for the Wizards and make it happen if anything falls apart. sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2010/news/story?id=5324240I'm surprised that a team like Indiana or Atlanta didn't come up with Hinrich.

Didn't expect Udoh to go to Golden State at #6; I still think Greg Monroe would've been the better pick here. Detroit gets a great passing big at #7 then.
Gordon Hayward should fit in well for Sloan's Jazz, but I thought Utah would take Babbitt or Paul George instead. Other than that, I think a lot of teams have made good moves after the lottery and through the second round.
Oklahoma City has been my favorite with all of their activity tonight. No blockbuster trades, but I'm okay with that since July 1st is just around the corner.

Gotta love the "Sexy Silver" and "U-S-A" chants from the MSG crowd.
