I would love to go to a parade, but that isn't happening anytime soon with the Wizards; rofl what a pipe dream.
Predictions for Game 5 tonight(keeping it short):
Bynum plays limited, but important minutes. Monster game from Gasol and Kobe in prime form as he works the refs. Odom and Fish contribute as much as possible on both ends of the court and Odom welcomes the free throw jeers until they aren't effective any longer.
Pierce absolutely needs to have a great night while I expect everyone else to play hard, but ultimately come up short in a nailbiter loss to LA tonight. Boston's bench will not ride any momentum into tonight since Nate is bound to take bad shots very soon and Davis isn't always reliable. Oh, and I don't see Perkins getting that 7th technical for the remainder of the series. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Final score: Los Angeles - 92, Boston - 87, which means LA leads 3-2 as they head home for Games 6 and 7. I think they will still close out the series in Game 6 but, as I said before, I will continue to cheer for the Celtics and hope to be proven wrong.

Oops, I mean 92-86 Celtics lol.
I was close but yet so, so far away. Gasol's monster game was a fail. Kobe managed to carry and simultaneously be pissed off at his teammates. Pierce did have a huge game, though, and Rondo's lay-up was the equivalent to the steal he had at the end of Game 4 which sealed the deal for Boston's win.

So, the Celts are in cruise control right now. I though LA would take this easily...

When it goes to a game 7, it'll be in LA. The Lakers won't lose.

As of right now (hours before Game 6), Kobe Bryant would be my choice for Finals MVP, regardless of whether his team wins or loses. No one has been more important, or hopefully for their sake influential in the next game or two, to his team than Kobe has in this series.
However, I truly believe that the Finals MVP will be known by the end of tonight's game. If Kobe scores 30-35 again and leads his team to victory at home, than it's his for the taking. If Pierce or Rondo has an excellent game and closes out the series tonight, they will be the winner. Speaking of which, my runner-up MVP would be Rajon Rondo.
My Least Valuable Player (LVP) would easily be Ron Artest, although his defense on Pierce has been pretty good so far in the series. If Gasol bottoms out again tonight than it's him, without question.
My prediction for Game 6 tonight (at 9 p.m. EST):
Lakers rebound with above-average play coming from their bench and especially Lamar Odom. Kobe won't have to do as much (24-25 points tonight), but I don't think this means Gasol will have his monster game. I would hold off on that prediction for Game 7.
Don't get me wrong, Boston will still look good and I expect Rondo to play tremendous, Pierce to play to his strengths, and Allen to pick up where he last left off in LA, although to a lesser extent. But, Boston will face a staunch defense and I believe LA will have more firepower within them for Game 6 to run on Boston (as Bynum rests, of course).
Final score: Los Angeles - 98, Boston - 85. It's a bold score, but I just do not expect Bryant and company to lay down and die for Boston in Game 6.

Oh, it's bad.
It can't be comforting for Boston fans to see the Celtics shooting this poorly...yet again this series. So many missed lay-ups, too, so there's really no excuse for their poor execution.

Perkins out for Game 7 with torn MCL and PCL in his right knee.
As a result, Doc Rivers will either start Rasheed Wallace or Glen Davis in his place (he hasn't decided yet who it will be), and Brian Scalabrine will likely suit up, too.
Who would've thunk that Perkins would be gone for Game 7 and it wouldn't be due to receiving a seventh technical?

ESPN's AccuScore has the Lakers at 76% favorites to win Game 7. The line is LA by 7.0, and the over/under is 186.0. However, in the Boston/LA rivalry's history, Boston has won all previous Game 7 matchups (five total).
The last road team to win a Game 7? The 1978 Washington Bullets.
Undoubtedly, some players will rise to the occasion and others will fall short of expectations. But, the question is, who will define themselves by the former or the latter tonight?
I fully expect the Los Angeles Lakers to win Game 7 and the NBA Championship tonight in front of one of the more exciting crowds in recent memory.
This game has to remain close throughout, because there is no other way to play a Game 7. It will be decided in the last two minutes of the game and free throws will be crucial, as they always are down the stretch.
It is almost a given that Kobe Bryant will get his 30/7/6, but I expect Gasol to put up an inspired 25/12/5 and Odom to contribute at least 13-15 off the bench. They will still look to get Artest involved, but I think his focus will be entirely on stopping Pierce and scoring if the opportunity presents itself. In general, as it has been for the majority of this series, defense will rule out everything else and play the largest part of either team's success.
Bynum will do all that he can to put up meaningful minutes and incite fouls out of Boston's bigs early on, Fisher will come up with one or two big shots guaranteed to blow the roof off of the place in the second half, and I can smell an insane Shannon Brown dunk from thousands of miles away.
Boston, on the other hand, will have their struggles but I do not think they will give up an inch. At the end of the day, it will come down to who makes their shots and LA has been able to do it more often than Boston in the series. Both shooting percentages should be about average or slightly less than average tonight, and I don't anticipate either team cracking 100 points.
Final score: Los Angeles - 94, Boston - 89. I don't think the Lakers cover tonight, but there is always the potential for a disheartening (for Boston) blowout in Game 7 as an ironic reversed sequel to the Laker's defeat in Game 6 of the 2008 Finals.
Either way it goes, I'm just hoping for a classic game.

I think Kobe is going to play possessed tonight. The only question is will that be enough, the rest of the team needs to show up.
