Offensive boards killed Boston (23-8), but it was going to be difficult without having Perkins in the mix. Garnett and Wallace prefer to play away from the basket and settle for too many jumpers at this point in their careers. D
Davis grabbed 9 total rebounds in only 21 minutes played, which isn't too bad, but it is disappointing that only one player topped that, Pierce with 10, and everyone else played just okay.
The one figure that will forever stand out to me is the free throw discrepancy:
Boston - 15 of 17, 88.2%, Pierce and Allen get to the line six times each and convert 11 of 12.
Los Angeles - 25 of 37, 67.6%, Kobe and Gasol get to the line 15 and 13 times each (respectively) and convert 18 of 28.
Home court bias, but that's just the way it is in the NBA.

lol I loved how Marcus Jordan, MJ's son, called out Kobe on Twitter for his performance in Game 7.

sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=mc-celticsfinale061810As far as I believe, Rivers will return for one more season and then bow out, Pierce will NOT opt out of the final year of his contract for next season, Ray Allen will choose to resign with Boston, and Rasheed Wallace will retire. Also, I wouldn't expect guys like Brian Scalabrine, Shelden Williams, or Marquis Daniels to return since Boston will want to focus on bringing back Allen and signing other quality role players. I think Tony Allen and Nate Robinson will be interested in resigning with the team, but there are dumb teams out there willing to offer them more than they're worth and I wouldn't put it past either of them to take big money elsewhere.

They'll either go with Turner or go big, but I don't think that will happen with Evan's talent still on the board. It's not a lock like Wall is at #1, but it's a sure thing. Now, New Jersey is a toss-up for Favors or Cousins.

Watching the 1984 NBA Draft on NBATV.
1. (H)Akeem Olajuwon is selected first overall and he's dressed like he's headed to Prom.
2. Sam Bowie in his post-Draft selection interview, talking about his stress fracture injury - "As far as I'm concerned, I'm 100 percent sound." lmfao no, what a complete all-around bust.
3. The GOAT is taken by Chicago.
4. "The Big Smooth" Sam Perkins is drafted by Dallas.
5. Barkley looks like he's dressed for prep school and there is already a discussion about his weight LOL.
6. "Another order of beef" from Washington at #6 as they take Turpin.

Now, New Jersey is a toss-up for Favors or Cousins. I think Evan Turner is the top player in this draft. hes got two more years on Wall, and he seems like a smart kid, that can flat out play. For those reasons, my gut tells me the Sixers will pick Favors. Just what they need, another big guy that more than likely wont pan out.
