Supposedly, Glen Davis was wearing earplugs on the bench (check the highlights, you should see them) because he was being heckled by the crowd lol what a puss.

sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5253734You can pretty much take the New Orleans and Chicago head coaching vacancies off the board since it is almost definite that Portland assistant Monty Williams will be named the new Hornets head coach and Boston assistant Tom Thibodeau is headed to Chicago. As far as I'm concerned, the Bulls have already won even before the Free Agency season has begun.

All the anger and hostility toward the Clippers is spent by now, so I doubt their fans will have anything to say until they, you know, botch this whole free agency season coming up.
Helllllloooo overspending for Rudy Gay or Joe Johnson...

By the way, my prediction for Game 2 tonight:
Boston will eek out a win on LA's home court, 95-93, with a somewhat rejuvenated Garnett (18 pts, 14 rebs, 3 blks) and Allen (23-25 pts, 4-5 threes made) stepping up to lessen the load on Pierce and Rondo. I would expect some of Boston's bigs (Perkins, Wallace) to get in foul trouble by late in the third quarter, but it won't be an insurmountable task to keep LA at bay once the free throw game starts late in the 4th.
I don't anticipate Artest getting more than 7-8 points tonight, but I do think Odom will contribute 13-15 while assisting Kobe's continuous 30+ point play in the playoffs (I'm thinking 35-36 tonight). Three-point struggles should continue for the Lakers again, but I have a feeling that tonight's game will be neck-and-neck around the 40-45 second mark of the 4th quarter.

Knock on wood, but we're up 10 right now. Still 2nd quarter, but it's a darn good start for us. Let's keep it up boys.

I was a little worried after Boston was only up six at the end of the first half, but thank God for Allen's supreme shooting technique and Rondo's underrated triple-double effort.
I never would have thought the Celtics had a chance with Pierce playing so poor, but I sure hope someone takes the time out to exhume Garnett's remains before Game 3; the fact that he didn't answer his critics/Gasol and looked worse than Game 1 is not a good sign at all.
My gut feeling says the Lakers take one in Boston by double digits at some point, but I don't think that will be the case for Game 3. My early prediction is Boston taking Game 3 fairly easy and riding the support of the electric home crowd for a 6-8 point win.

My prediction for Game 3 tonight:
Boston is energized after taking home court away from LA and will show it tonight, but not to the same extent as the barrage of three-pointers that went in for them in Game 2. No way Ray Allen is able to double that feat, but I could still see him going for as many as 3 or 4 in this game if he's allowed to break free from his defender. Paul Pierce has been itching for a good game as of late, and he should get some relief for that tonight (27-28 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists).
Rondo's assist totals should be high (I'm thinking at least 12), and I'm expecting to see a solid effort from Boston's bigs (namely Perkins) at home. Garnett will not be as big of a factor in the series going forward if he truly has reached his decline and owns up to it, but he should have enough adrenaline pumping through him to have a semi-decent game.
LA will finally start to hit threes in the second half of Game 3 and shouldn't have 40.8% struggles shooting from the field tonight, but the only other bright lights coming from this game will be Kobe (as usual), Gasol (as usual, but less effective), and a surprisingly good follow-up performance from Andrew Bynum. I don't think LA's bench will have much enthusiasm and shouldn't play as many minutes if the foul counts stay low.
All in all, it should be a fairly even contest through the first two-and-a-half quarters, but Boston will endure a second half LA rally and could find themselves in trouble around the 6-7 minute mark of the fourth quarter. However, the Celtics will regain the lead and pull away to a somewhat-comfortable margin and will win by a final score of 96-90.

Yeah no comment LOL.
This could turn out to be one of the weirdest NBA Finals series ever.
I mean, how does someone like Ray Allen go from setting a record (8 threes made in Game 2) to NEARLY breaking another record (0/13 shooting, one shy of Dennis Johnson's record for a Finals game, in Game 3), essentially covering the entire spectrum?
I don't know what to say right now, and I honestly didn't know how to anticipate Game 3, but I still expect Boston to win Game 4 to even the series at 2-2.

I would have taken LA tonight had they not won Game 3 and if Boston would have been able to get "over the hump" in the second half on Tuesday.
Well, I will stick with Boston tonight despite an unusual gut feeling that LA will surprise everyone and thrash the Celtics again on their home court. Instead, I expect another close game and Los Angeles to lead for the better part of it until Pierce reaches his stride and draws an innumerable amount of fouls to get to the charity stripe and pad his stats.
Artest is bound to catch fire if he would just screw his head on a little tighter for the 48 minutes his team needs him. I'm predicting a really good game for Odom and Gasol, but an even better one out of Pierce and Allen, although his might not show up in the box score like it did in Game 2 (and hopefully not the same way it did in Game 3). Something tells me Fish and Rondo will be detained tonight.
Final score: Boston - 106, Los Angeles - 102 (possibly overtime game?).

Well, yeah, he had the concussion, but I doubt that was solely the reason.
The Sports Guy has been sitting with the press, especially ESPN's Ric Bucher, during the Finals in order to keep running diaries of each game for the Page 2 section of the website and that's where he learned of it. Davis is an emotional guy (he once cried on the bench after Garnett yelled at him...), so I wouldn't rule it out.
