Saw this question on ESPN.
If you're starting 2 new teams. 1 basketball, 1 baseball, and had the choice of adding Strasburg to your baseball team, or LeBron to your basketball team, who would you add?
Thought this might be fun. I'd personally add Lebron.

Obviously LeBron.
Strasburg will have an excellent career, no doubt, barring any serious injuries, but James will go down as one of the all-around greatest pro basketball players of all-time if he plays his cards right.
Not to mention, LeBron is worth infinitely more to a franchise than Strasburg; hell, his impending free agency has been anticipated for the past three or four years and entire cities are willing to do whatever it takes to court him. I also read before how his worth to NYC would be somewhere around $57 million and an astonishing $2.7 billion over a six-year contract if he were to sign with Chicago.

Strasburg is too new to really put that much faith into, LeBron is just all around a great reliable player. No contest... LeBron.

Id add Lebron to the baseball team, and Strasburg to the basketball team. That should be fun to watch.
But really... this is a no contest. LeBron, hands down.

We should try this within each sport.
For example, in the NBA, if all of the teams started from scratch and held a massive draft to determine their rosters and you were picking outside of the top three (let's say fifth), who do you take?
Guys like LeBron, Kobe, Wade, and Dwight Howard are definitely off the books (or are they? It's up to you, I guess).
Do you take a Carmelo or Durant type of player then at number five?

Hypothetically, the top four going 1.)LeBron 2.)Kobe 3.)Howard 4.)Wade ITs tough to gauge who would go #5. Right now? Id say Durant just for his potential to be a superstar.
