I was up wayyyy too early this morning and decided to watch an old tape of the Over the Edge: In Your House pay-per-view from May 31st, 1998. Remember, this was the first OTE and not the one (a year later) where Owen fell to his death. So, the highlight of this event is the main event WWF title match with Stone Cold and Dude Love fighting under no DQ, falls count anywhere rules with Vince McMahon as the special guest referee. Wiki is always useful, for those that haven't seen it: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Over_the_Edge:_In_Your_HouseAustin/Dude has tremendous heat throughout and leading up to the finish of the match, which is a miracle in and of itself since the crowd was mildly sedated for the rest of the show. Second best match would either be DX vs. The Nation or, in my personal opinion, Kaientai vs. Taka and Bradshaw. The undercard isn't very impressive and offers only decent matches between LOD 2000 vs. DOA, Jarrett vs. Blackman, The Rock (who gets kayfabe injured earlier in the night) vs. Farooq for the IC title, and Kane vs. Vader (Mask vs. Mask). Oh, and Mero rolls up Sable for the cheap pin after pretending to lay down for her in a 21-second masterpiece. Actually, forget Austin/Dude for the highlight of the night, as clearly that award should go to Vader for referring to himself as a "big fat piece of shit" following his match with Kane lol. Thoughts on OTE '98?

Didn't he do the "I'm just a piece of shit, a BIG FAT PIECE OF SHIT!" after he lost to Kane at No Way Out earlier that year? Maybe he did it at both, haha.

No, no, because Vader had been beaten so badly by Kane and was taken out of action after he pummeled him with a wrench.
Then, he returns to Raw a few weeks before OTE and, for some strange reason, it's decided that Mask vs. Mask should be the stipulation.
Thanks to a subscription I have with this one website, I've been able to watch all of the Raws and pay-per-views from 1998. It's basically VHS tape quality, but a lot of the shows have been great, especially from before and after WrestleMania XIV.
