I finally checked out Raging Bull (1980) the other day and it was awesome; I particularly loved DeNiro's rage after he was detained and thrown in the cell.
Dancer, Texas Pop. 81 (1998) turned out to be a solid PG buddy flick, in my opinion; I enjoyed its simplicity and laid-back, small town setting.
What was the last movie you watched?

Gave MacGruber one last watch last night before it left theaters. Would give it a solid 8.5/10

Alice in Wonderland (2010).
Mehhhh, I was not impressed at all. There just wasn't any substance to it and I never found myself caring about anything as the plot progressed. The CGI was not drowning, but it also didn't help that there was nothing besides the animation to keep the film interesting.
I would give it a 4.5/10. As for the two earlier films I mentioned, Raging Bull gets a 9.5/10 from me and Dancer an acceptable 6.5/10.

I never bothered with Alice. Is it even worth a rental or no? Not sure if I should even bother.

I wouldn't rent it if I were you, and that's coming from someone who has always enjoyed Burton and Depp's work, especially together.
I would liken it to flat soda; you know what you're getting yourself into when you drink it, but it's not going to leave a desirable aftertaste and you could find about a million better options if you're thirsty.

Sounds good man. Thanks for the advice. Will be passing for now.
I just got out of The A-Team. Very meh, The action was of huge proportions and it didnt sell short. But I felt like I was watching 20 minutes getting looped over and over. They get into a weird situation, figure out a plan and than massive amounts of action followed by 10 minutes of bordem and than repeat. Liam Neeson sounded like he was still in "Taken". Bradly Cooper acted exactly like his "Hangover" character. Rampage Jackson is one terrible actor and can never replace Mr. T. The only character I liked was Sharlto Copley from District 9. He was hilarious. I take that back, Patrick Wilson was hilarious as well. Kind of a disappointing movie. Plus whoever directed the hand to hand scenes is TERRIBLE. Felt like a very bad attempt at Cloverfield cam.
If anyone plans on seeing this I strongly suggest to just see it in theaters and let it be a popcorn flick. Would be terrible at home.
(I must mention I never cared for The A-Team TV show at all)
Its a strong 7/10(which is an average for me)

Shutter Island (2010).
I could definitely see the ending coming before the first hour finished, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Not quite as suspenseful as I imagined it would be, but Leo's dreams/nightmares were expertly done, in my opinion. Several of them were very gripping, most notably in the latter half of the film, and I would credit that to the cinematography. You can just pick out a Scorsese film from a mile away.
I'd give it a solid 7.5/10.
