I felt so bad for that kid. The look on his face when he realized that the runner had been called safe? Heartbreaking.
There should be NO debate on this, the call needs overturned. An incident like this is also the greatest argument someone could present for instant replay in baseball.

One of the worst things I've seen in baseball, I feel so bad for the kid. Hopefully someone kills the ump.

I said the same thing over and over, this is the perfect situation for instant replay for other than homeruns. I always said there should be, and this proves it.

So, Strasburg looked deadly last night. His curve is brutal.

he also played the pirates. and wont be K'ing 14 guys a game. but yeah, very impressive debut...what stood out to me was the 0 walks in comparison, and his ability to strike batters out with a few different pitches
alas hes in my division and will probably kill the Mets for the next bunch of years until the Yankees eventually buy him, so i may as well start hating him n bryce harper now

Bryce Harper said in his first Sports Illustrated interview that his dream is to be in pinstripes, so yeah, if I were a Met fan I'd start hating.

... I know that. I'm saying hate in advance, because it'll probably be within the next five years if he performs as well as everyone expects him to.
